Olga Moiseeva

Olga Moiseyeva was born in Leningrad, Russia and graduated from the Leningrad School of Dance (class of Agrippina Vaganova).

She was a lead performer of the ballet repertoire at the Leningrad Kirov Theatre of Opera and Ballet from 1947-1973 dancing in roles both modern and classic. She went on to become a Ballet Mistress at the Marinsky Theatre in 1972 and her pupils included Galina Mezentseva, Altinay Asylmuratova, Svetlana Zakharova and Yulia Makhalina. She also taught in Edinburgh at the Legat Summer School run by Madame Bartell.

Olga Moiseyeva has also appeared in two television programs: “Olga Moiseyeva Dances” and “Choreographic Miniatures”.
