Robert was a pupil of Mme. Bartell for seven years and is trained in the Legat System.
On completion of his training he joined the Scottish ballet. He was the company’s Premier Danseur until 1999 when he left to ‘freelance’ and guest with other companies.
He is also an examiner for the Russian Ballet Society in Great Britain and abroad.
